Directions for use
This product is intended for occasional use only. Furthermore, it should be used by trained professionals using proper equipment under controlled conditions.
PREPARATION: Carefully read all cautions and instructions before use. Protect hands with solvent-resistant gloves, and eyes with safety goggles. Varying application methods can dictate the use of additional protective safety equipment such as a solvent-resistant apron. Open can slowly to relieve pressure. Remove all parts not to be stripped such as wipers, mirrors, chrome grills, plastic lenses, etc. When stripping door jambs, use masking tape with a mild adhesive and remove as soon as stripping job is completed. Avoid using masking tapes with a strong adhesive, as this can damage rubber when removing.
APPLICATION: Pour remover into a container and flow on a thick, generous coat of remover with a chemical-resistant brush. If applying to a vertical surface, begin application at the bottom, because vapors are heavier than air and can accumulate near the floor. Apply to one section at a time, up to 3’ x 3’. Brush in one direction only. Do not brush back and forth as this will destroy the built-in evaporation retardant. After applying, leave area until remover is finished working.
REMOVAL: Allow time for remover to work. Let stand until finish is completely blistered or liquefied; the time will vary from 15 to 45 minutes or longer. Do not rush the job, let the remover do the work. After 15 minutes, test a small area to see if old finish is ready for removal. The loosened finish may be removed with a flat scraper or steel wool. Once the finish has been removed, the surface must be washed off with Topkote Tub and Tile Cleaner to flush off any residue. Allow surface to dry before applying new finish.
Do not use on plastic, fiberglass, or other synthetic materials. Also, not for use on plexiglass, rubber or fabrics. Do not mix remover with any other product.
